Meditation for schools

Visits to our Kensington and Morden centres, or a teacher coming to your school — tailored for primary through to college and university.

Why teach meditation in schools?

Meditation is a way of calming and training the mind to be happy. It is easy to do, and something everyone can learn — including from a young age. Through meditation and mindfulness in daily activities, students can learn to work with feelings and emotions, gain inner strength and confidence, and develop into happier individuals.

Classes are tailored to the group. We can adapt the format to topics you are covering in coursework. Students learn methods to overcome stress and anxiety and improve their relationships — often with benefit to their families as well. We can also offer a session for staff.

Visits to and from KMC London

School trips usually include a short meditation, learning about Buddha’s life, and hands-on activities such as water and mandala offerings. Visits typically last 1–2 hours. Coaches can drop groups near both the Morden and Kensington centres.

What schools say

“The kids all had an amazing time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We are very grateful to the teacher for making it a really hands-on experience for our pupils and explaining things in a way they could understand; we would love to come back again next year.”

Teacher, Wimbledon Chase School

“I really enjoyed the meditation, it cleared my mind and helped me to feel relaxed.”
