Volunteer with us
There are many ways to help out at KMC London — from welcoming people at a class to cleaning, cooking and maintenance. There is something here for everyone, whatever time you have.

Volunteers are needed for
None of it needs experience, and none of it needs you to be Buddhist.
Keeping the centres clean and tidy
The everyday work that makes a room somewhere people want to sit.
Publicity design and distribution
Posters, leaflets and getting them out across London.
Maintenance jobs
Two buildings, both well used. There is always something to see to.
Decorating
Painting and making good, at whatever pace the project runs.
Cooking
Feeding a class, a course or a retreat — and the people running it.
…and whatever else comes up
Projects appear all the time. If you have a skill, we will have a use for it.
Two ways to help
Local volunteering
If you live in London, regular help is always needed at both Morden and Kensington. Take a slot each week, join a short project, or simply come when your schedule allows.
It is a quick way to feel part of the community, and the work is varied enough that you see the Buddhist way of life first hand rather than only hearing about it.

You can also volunteer on a residential basis: two weeks with us, with accommodation and a food allowance provided. Rooms are warm, cosy shared dorms with a shared bathroom.
You get two days off a week to relax, explore London or deepen your practice, and you are welcome at meditation classes throughout your stay.
